As mentioned above it is a dual SIM 5G smartphone but you can only use only one 5G SIM along with second 4G SIM whereas there are some other smartphones which have come up with dual 5G SIM capability. Another thing is that Android 11 OS has also been launched in the market so, in this case we can say that the OS is latest still, the MediTek processor is good for smooth multi-tasking or operating on heavy apps as it is supported by powerful 8GB/12GB RAM which is commendable as compared to other competitors.
When we talk about the design and looks then it is fine but not unique or out of the league. However, the 108MP +8MP + 2MP triple primary camera setup with dual-LED support is excellent and not just this dual selfie camera of 44MP + 8MP again with dual-LED flash is appreciable especially by the selfie lovers and people who love making Vlogs or social media videos.
4200 mAh Li-Poly battery backup with 44W fast charging is decent but it could have been more powerful. Like most other smartphones, the battery is again non-removable which not a major concern is. Moreover, there is no memory card slot which may pinch some of the users who like to record 8K videos and click lots of HD photos as these take large space and the user might have to transfer the data occasionally to keep using the heavy games or downloading heavy applications.
So far it is also not confirmed whether any of its Vivo S12 variants are water or dust resistant. Interestingly there is also no mention of Gorilla glass protection for this mid-price range smartphone. It also lacks a 3.5mm jack and FM radio. You might not listen to the radio but a 3.5mm audio jack is still an important feature as most people might not be interested in using Bluetooth headphones instead to use wired headphones.
It would have been better if wireless charging or features like reverse charging could have been made available as there is no audio jack which means that the user would be using Bluetooth headphones and would be worried about charging them in case traveling somewhere outside. Reverse charging could be used to charge other smart devices or wireless headphones which might pinch the users.
Otherwise, it has almost all types of connectivity features and sensors that should be available in any smartphone. The In-display fingerprint sensor with Face unlocks is again a good feature that keeps the device safe from unauthorized persons.
It is also comparatively lightweight which makes it easy for the user to operate it single hand without facing any trouble or problem.
