Motorola G42 Review

It is the best choice for those who are specifically looking for a stylish 4G mobile with good camera quality along with the latest features and specs. Undoubtedly it’s a good offering with a remarkable battery backup and good screen size. Its pros are more as compared the cons. When we look at the pros of this stunning mobile then we found that its advantages are definitely more as compared to the disadvantages. It has already been launched in Brazil with 6GB RAM and 128GB internal memory but the 4GB RAM with 64GB internal memory won’t be as great as the latter.

The screen is FHD and AMOLED too with a 90.9% screen-to-body ratio that gives it a bezel less look which eventually takes the viewing to the next level. The 6GB RAM is enough to work smoothly while doing multi-tasking as well as playing a bit heavy games but it does not make it a gaming mobile as there are some other features that are also required for it to become a gaming mobile. The primary camera setup of three lenses of 50MP + 8MP + 2MP with LED flash to click crisp and clear photos and videos but the front camera is just 16MP which might pinch the user who is also interested in making video calls and clicking selfie shots. The battery backup of 5000mAh with 30W fast charging means that users can watch content or work on it for long hours without any worries. However, it lacks reverse charging which could have been a game-changer in this segment. It would also be wrong to expect wireless charging at this price so, it is not a major drawback!

Furthermore, all sorts of connectivity options are available along with all the required sensors but it majorly lacks a USB Type- C port which aids in fast charging and fast data transfers. Obviously, data can be uploaded on drives or cloud storage but still, most users like to transfer data to other devices as well without using the internet. So, the major highlight of the G42 is the massive battery, large screen size and 50MP primary camera. The latest Android operating system with a super-efficient Snapdragon Octa-Core processor does not let it cause lag while working on multiple applications at the same time.

To start with the cons or disadvantages of Moto G42 the major con is that it does not have a dedicated micro SD card slot and the average front camera. It also does not have Gorilla screen protection except a regular screen guard. It can also be easily handled with one hand as it is lighter in weight as compared to other smartphones which are being offered in a similar price range.

Overall, it is a decent smartphone suitable for those who are looking to buy another stylish mobile or best suitable for students. The price is neither too high nor too less so, so it is a mid-price range mobile but there are many other smartphones with better specs and features even with 5G connectivity which can be considered if the brand is not an issue. However, it is definitely not a great choice in case if you are specifically looking for upgrading to a 5G mobile.
